THE ITINERARY

DAY BY DAY

DAY 01 / 04

Arrival · Slow Manali · HOGS Experience

Hadimba Devi Temple's tiered wooden roofs rising among tall deodar trees under a blue sky
FIG. 01 — HADIMBA DEVI TEMPLE, AMONG THE DEODARS

Arrive in Manali and check in at HOGS Panorama. Instead of immediately rushing out for sightseeing, settle into your room, take in the mountain views and begin the holiday at an easy pace.

Once refreshed, head out to explore some of Manali’s classics.

  • Hadimba Devi TempleBegin amidst the tall deodar forest surrounding the historic temple. Spend some time walking through Dhungri rather than treating it as just a quick photo stop.
  • Old ManaliContinue towards Old Manali for its little lanes, cafes, shops and laid-back mountain atmosphere.
  • Vashisht VillageVisit the traditional village, Vashisht Temple and the hot-water spring area before heading back towards town.
  • Mall RoadKeep the evening free for a leisurely stroll, local shopping and exploring central Manali.

Return to HOGS and unwind over dinner or coffee at Cafe DO NTHNG.

Overnight: HOGS Panorama

DAY 02 / 04

Solang Valley · Atal Tunnel · Sissu

FIG. 02 — SOLANG VALLEY IN SNOW

After breakfast, leave for the classic high-mountain circuit.

Drive towards Solang Valley, surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery. Continue towards the Atal Tunnel and cross into the contrasting landscapes of Lahaul.

On the other side, proceed towards Sissu. Spend time around the village, admire the waterfall from the valley and stop at scenic points rather than rushing from attraction to attraction.

Enjoy lunch during the excursion and gradually make your way back to Manali by evening. Spend the night relaxing at HOGS.

Overnight: HOGS Panorama

DAY 03 / 04

Soyal Village · Sajla Waterfall · Hidden Manali

This is where guests get to experience Manali beyond the usual checklist.

After a relaxed breakfast, leave for Soyal (Soil) Village, surrounded by forests, streams, orchards and traditional village landscapes. Soyal has established walking routes and fits particularly well into an offbeat Manali itinerary. Spend some time walking around the village and enjoying the quieter surroundings.

Continue towards Sajla Waterfall. Take the forest approach towards the waterfall and spend some time by the water. This is less about ticking off a tourist attraction and more about slowing down among the trees.

Stop for a local lunch or chai before heading back. Instead of immediately returning to the room, end the day at Cafe DO NTHNG with coffee and sunset views.

Overnight: HOGS Panorama

No sightseeing alarm today.

Wake up slowly, enjoy breakfast with mountain views and spend some time over coffee at Cafe DO NTHNG.

Check out with plenty of memories, and hopefully a reason to come back for the places you couldn’t fit into this trip.

11 questions

Good questions,
slow answers.

  1. Manali, the HOGS way is best for first-time visitors, couples and short getaways. Its style: Manali classics + one proper offbeat HOGS day.

A slow arrival, the classic high-mountain circuit, and one day that takes you beyond the usual checklist.

  2. Not very. Every HOGS journey opens with a slow arrival and closes with a slow morning, so the days in between are not stacked back to back. Some days are deliberately kept light, and the higher-mountain days stay flexible with the weather.

If you would like more or less on your days, say so in your enquiry and we will talk it through.

  3. Day 3: Soyal Village, Sajla Waterfall and Hidden Manali, where you experience Manali beyond the usual checklist. Day 2 is the classic high-mountain circuit of Solang Valley, the Atal Tunnel and Sissu.
